Profile Picture Size?

Hi, been loving this module since it first came out, the lady who did it is awesome.
What I can't seem to figure out is how to make it so profile pics are suitably cropped to fit the profile layout. I really don't care about pics on my site, but I just want a normal sized profile pic for users that they don't have to size themselves.
I tried the imagecache and imagecache_profile with the settings at http://agaricdesign.com/note/theming-user-profile-pictures-drupal. Unfor, the pics are too large and I can't figure out how to size them right. Anyone know what to do? Thank so much!
