I had drupal installed on a local host. I then moved it to a live site. I later bought a new pc and am trying to transfer the local host onto my new pc. I installed wamp, downloaded my datebase off my live site and imported it. The main page on my site works when I visit it on my local host. But when I try to visit any other page on my local site, it takes me to the "Wamp5 Homepage" instead of the actual page. Any ideas why it's doing this??

Are you using user friendly URL's?

* Did you copy your .htaccess file?
* Have you got mod_rewrite enabled?

This is clean url problem. You have to disable manually clean url. Go to phpMyAdmin and go to your database tables. Find variables table and find out clean_url in that table. set clean_url to 0 from 1.

If your problem will be solved then again enabled clean url from your site.

I think you can deactivate the Clean URLs feature by loggin into your admin area then visiting the Clean URLs page. To do that you will have to add ?q= after the first slash to access the necessary pages.

1) To log into your admin area, go to http://localhost/?q=user
2) To change the Clean URLs, go to http://loalhost/?q=admin/settings/clean-urls

Note: after entering your login details, you might be taken back to the Wamp5 Homepage, in that case just type the line in the second step in your brower.

After deactivating the Clean URLs, you should be able to visit all pages in your website without any problem.

Hope this helps.
