Nice! Still, not optimal to get instructions about Drupal 5 and then read the changes made to Drupal 6. As a reader I would prefer to read about how it works in Drupal 6 directly. Also, looking for Drupal 6 translation documentation I would probably at first neglect a page showing only the changes between 5 and 6, because that's not what I'm looking for.
I guess option one is better to avoid hierarchical structure, but I like the latter as it gives you a clue that there is no other translation documentation than "Changes in Drupal 6" to find.
I think the optimal solution is rewrite http://drupal.org/node/21145 to include D6 translation installation instructions. That is, a page that has a section for how to install in D6 and then under that, a section for how to install in D5.
@ztyx, I have added you to the documentation team to allow you to edit that page directly to update it. Please feel free to clean it up so that it makes sense. :-)
Nice nedjo! I'm still missing information about how to update a previous translation import. Since I'll be at Drupalcamp Copenhagen throughout the day I'll add a part about that soonish.

So I propose a simple fix make it (at least) slightly easier to find the material: Either 1) adding the link alexo007 sent to the body of http://drupal.org/node/21145 or 2) simply merging "Changes in Drupal 6" into "How to install a different language".

nedjoI've drafted a module to automate translation import for D6: http://drupal.org/project/core_translation. Testing and improvements welcome.
