Hello,
An increasingly popular promotional feature for artists, etc. is to allow a free download in exchange for a (working) e-mail address. I'm wondering if you have any advice for modifying this module to include that feature. That would be great if it could be done.....

Hi Jim, that's a nice idea, I'll be working on the new version of Quickfile for Drupal 6 in a few weeks and will include this feature.
I can't give you an exact date however, I'm still working on other project for a client these days.

Thanks, that's great news! I wonder, then, if it'll be possible to also provide a patch that allows for Drupal 5 integration? I'll probably need to keep the current site on 5 for a while, as there are still a fair amount of modules lacking 6 compatibility.
