When you set the option for multiple file upload, the user sees two form fields for uploading two files. It would be nice, if there was an option to configure how many fileforms are displayed by default.

this is fixed as much as it can be in filefield head.. the rest is waiting upstream changes in CCK. http://drupal.org/node/320313#comment-1083296
