Due to licensing issues, I must request that my contributed module, filemaker, be removed from CVS for the time being. I will be in contact with the Drupal Association license team to resolve these issues, but until a resolution is reached all traces of the code must be removed. I am still hopeful that I will be able to re-submit this module in the near future. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Crell commentedThe files have been removed. For reference, what licensing issue are you referring to? Connecting to a filemaker database (what it looks like you're doing) is fine.

No, the FileMaker part of it should be fine. I built this module while under the employment of the University of California. I recently learned that GPL is "highly disfavored" by UC.
Crell, thanks for personally responding. I was advised to contact you regarding the specifics. I'll send you an email through your d.o contact form probably next week.

Crell commentedHm. Well, that's a mark against UC then.
If UC wants to distribute the module, it will have to be under the GPL. Period. If they don't distribute it then it doesn't matter as long as the code never leaves UC's computers. (OK, slightly more technical legal distinctions exist, but that's the layman's explanation.)
Marking this fixed for now.
