I tested the views-module in combination with the workflow-module in drupal 6 an drupal 5
I created a workflow for one nodetype
I created some workflow states and set permissions for userroles in admin-form of the workflow module
I created a new view (table style) and add some fields from nodes of this nodetype.
One field is "Link to node-edit-form"
In Drupal 6 (views 2) it works fine, so the link is only shown on the views-page (and only in those rows), if the user has the permission to edit the node
In Drupal 5 (views 5x1.6) the link is only shown for user #1, but not/never for other userroles with permission to edit the node.

sunSorry, this issue cannot be fixed within Views.

merlinofchaos commentedThis may be the same bug I found in Views 2 where the faux node object being built to determine permissions is not getting enough data, so only #1 appears to have permissions.

Micha1111 commentedSo, who is responsible for a solution ?
Views maintainer or workflow maintainer ?
How did you solve the problem in Views 2 ?
Micha1111 commented6 weeks without any reaction
I wonder, if it makes sense to wait for a solution
Is there still a maintainer for this module ?

Bastlynn commentedHi,
With the release of Drupal 7, Drupal 5 is no longer receiving security updates, reviews, or development from many contributed modules. Since 5 is now considered a depreciated version, you really should seriously look into upgrading to Drupal 6 or 7. The newer versions of Drupal work better, have more support, and will be safer (literally! security patches!) for your website. We are currently working on a new release for Workflow to Drupal 7. In light of that, further support for Drupal 5 issues is infeasible at the moment. Please consider upgrading to Drupal 6 or 7 in the near future - you'll be glad you did.
