Hello All,
I am using privatemsg module. I want to send message to all people who have been registered for my site. In actual module i can send message to the people in my contact list only.
But if i want to send it to all and i even dont know the names then what should i do?

Perhaps Mass Contact?
Doesn't seem to be a job for Privatemsg, but rather for something like Mass Contact. Of course, that sends e-mail, not private messages. If you need this to be a feature for Privatemsg, I suggest you enter a feature request in the project's support queue. (9/22)
Edit: Hmm. Through a post by the maintainer of Privatemsg, I became aware of Privatemsg Mass Mailer.

Have you filed a support request in the {insert module/theme name here} issue queue? That's where you'll find users (and developers) familiar with your problem.
Try the Admin Message module
The Admin Message module might do what you're looking for..
