user directories

Description
Ive selected the per user directories but when a user tries to upload a file it says that the directory does not exist and is not writable. Im not sure that this is an issue with disknode but more on how my security is set up. But anyways does anyone know how I can allow disknode to create directories? thanks
this is what it says
The selected file /tmp/tmp_zY5svZ could not be uploaded, because the destination is not properly configured.
Failed to save files/user/0/7/7/alein head.jpg
files/user/0/7/7 is not writeble. The directory will be created when needed.
