It'd be nice to have Views support built into this...so you could make blocks (using views) to list dates with a certain status...like a block that would be entitled "available dates" and list the dates.
I'm sure Views support would open up lots of other creative ideas.

geodaniel commentedInteresting idea. I think this would need some thought (and I'd have to get to better grips with Views 2) but I agree, it'd open up more possibilities.

dkoukoul commentedHi, great module btw...
I am using the Availability module for a business intranet site to display the availability of each person (in office, out of office, holidays etc).
I would like to have a way to display all the availabilities in one page and I was thinking of Views2 as well... but currently the availability fields are not exposed in Views...

nicholas.alipaz commentedJust finished doing a bunch of work in views2 for another module and I think I will take a look at this, shouldn't be too difficult.
willeaton commentedI've been using the module for simple property availability and it would be great to be able to have a views filter (act as a property search) which could show properties available for certain dates. This module might even help some...

RagsToRich commentedIt would be great if someone could do this.
I think this is a wonderful little module and customizable views support would be outstanding. (browse reservations by month, etc).

With this feature the module can be sublime...

fietserwinI think that in D7 it should be possible to implement the calendar as a field. Doing so, would integrate automatically with views and numerous other modules. This would also improve placement w.r.t other fields in same node, show/hide in teaser as well as outdate some administrative tasks (content type support, view/edit permissions).
However the field api is also still new to me, so I'm not sure this would work out into all details.

nicholas.alipaz commentedif this gets added it will be in 2.x branch
Comment #10
giupenni commentedWhere can I get the D7 version to try it?
fietserwinPlease find an initial D7 port on #1027930: Port availability calendars to D7. But note that views support is still far away. A more official D7 version will be released in the near future.

fietserwinPlease find the next version of this module on Availability Calendar. Started as a complete rewrite, it is currently in its own sandbox. A tar.gz can be found as an attachment in issue #1252106: Beta1 release as tar.gz.
This version has:
- Fields based (so D7 only).
- Views integration including ...
- Filter on availability.
- Booking integration by means of a separate booking formlet field.
- Show week numbers option.
For an in-depth comparison of all current features see the included "README when coming from Availability Calendars.txt".
An upgrade path is not yet available but will be in the near future!
Please have a look at the new version and report any findings, bugs, suggestions, etc.
fietserwinMoved the sandbox project back here into the 7.x-3.x version.
fietserwinThe search function has now also been backported to 6.x-2.2 (with the restrictions of not using split day and not allowing to override settings on a per node basis).
