Description
so this had to come up at some point.
Any plans to get ready for D6 now that CiviCRM 2.1 is out?
I ran 5.x.1.2 through coder. At a glance it looks like the only major issues on the Drupal side seem to be the menu & removing th t() function from the watchdog functions (it's not necessary any more).
There is some discussion of the CiviCRM changes here

I'm available to help on this, as I have a client site I want to put up in D6 & CiviCRM

Great module. There is a definite need for the D6 port.

Looks like the gang at CiviCRM is taking the lead on this. At least in reference to views. They updated a couple other modules Civimember Roles sync (http://drupal.org/project/civimember_roles) and OG sync (http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Organic+Groups+CiviCRM...).

There was nothing in the page on the CiviCRM site that was linked to above which indicated the CiviCRM team was going to update CiviNode. They seemed quite prepared to have someone else do the CCK-related work.
This is in response to #2 above.

Status on a D6 port?

CiviCRM has added Views support, but there doesn't seem to be any plans to add node/CCK support, and many of us can't wait for that if they do decide to take the initiative.
I have started the update procedure that will upgrade to D6 with CiviCRM 2.1 support. Once it's ready I'll roll a patch and hopefully one of you will be willing to test the patch.
#8
how are you getting along with this atheneus? Just starting out with a fresh install of Drupal 6.11 Civi 2.2 in a test area.
I am not very experienced but could give a go at testing a patch if it helps things along. Thanks.

CCK support is coming out with CiviCRM 2.3 and is in the 2.2 repoitory now, i.e. it will be in 2.2.3 (though its alpha now so I don't know where it will be for 2.2.3). IMHO time would likely be better spent testing that than patches to CiviNode.

i am just in.. For D6 version

Given #9, should this module be abandoned?
