Buddylist latest for Drupal 5x , buddylist.info,v 1.1.2.2

How to disable "buddylist autoadd" once it has been enabled ?
Making the field blank or restoring to default is not accepted
by the system which says "the field cannot be kept empty"

i have faced the similar issue before. I could not find out the solution, so I have just turned off the autoadd module.
