This is a great idea for a module. It deserves some solid follow through.

Right now the node creation logic is a mess, the mapping UI really needs to be revamped, and the system is nothing without actual parsers.

It looks like someone has put out a parser at #354131: .doc / .odt parser using Docvert. This should be tested this week...
