When using a custom theme (sites/all/themes/mytheme) with CSS like background-image: url(../images/somedir/anotherdir/myimage.png) the rule is converted to url(/mysite/sites/all/themes/mytheme/myimage.png) cropping out all the relative path prefix, just keeping the image filename+ext

probably, there are too many aggregators for me
please help me figure it out
it's about the core functionality to create a bundle from CSS/JS
admin/settings/performance "Optimize CSS files"
