Just wondering if anyone knows of a module that would allow an admin to very quickly adopt the permissions of another role to test that roles access to content creation etc?
I did some work with a cms called 'moodle' a couple of years ago for an online training company. When logged in as admin, Moodle had a button visible on each page with the text 'log in as' . . . you then selected another role and voila . . . you see the site as someone with that role. Very quick and easy admin changes so you can ensure that each role gets exactly what you want without having to keep logging out and back in again. Oh, by the way, there was also a button on each page that said 'return to admin role' to get you back to your normal permissions
Anyone know of a module for Drupal to do this? Or any other quick way of testing role access for 9 or 10 roles?
Any suggestions appreciated

The module for logging in as a test user is Masquerade
The Masquerade module does precisely what you want.

I didn't know masquerade
I didn't know masquerade until a couple of minutes ago... thanks for the tip. The Devel module does this as well (and it has many more great features) but looking at the description, masquerade seems more sophisticated, because switching back is easier.
