For attaching files -- no, you can't do that with the current code. I *really* don't want to complicate the email functionality any more by dealing with file attachments, that's totally out of scope for this module. In fact, I'd like to rip the email stuff out into support modules so that the main module doesn't have to be burdened with that code + functionality since a lot of sites (including my own) don't use it at all. See #290305: Split out email functionality into separate submodule(s) about that.
