If you look at the way I currently have this page, theres a link at the bottom called "IP Optimisation." When you click the link, the menu expands and you get all of its children. Problem is, once you click one of those children, you no longer get the entire subnav heirachy and all you have is whats currently in that family. I would like to have it to where it shows :
"IP Strategy and Innovation
IP Operations and Management
IP Licensing
Brokerage and M&A
IP Risk Management
IP Valuation
IP Research Services
Benchmarking
IP Centralisation
IP Governance
IP Litigation Management
IP Optimisation
-- Chief IP Officer (current page)
--IP Commercialisation
--IP M&A and Brokerage
--Patent filings and formalities
--Transactions"
Does anyone know how I can do this? Thanks a bunch! This is my first drupal build so I apologize if it seems .. stupid..
Thanks again,
Anthony

bengtan commentedHi,
Please have a look at #298966: Un-Collapse 2nd level menu-item and comment #7 of #274437: How to display sub menu tree navigation in a block consistently.

anthonybruno commentedThanks for the response, but I dont think I explained my problem enough.
Yes I know that I can have the menu natively expanded if I want to, but this is what I am trying to achieve.
If you are on any of the 1st level pages, this is your navigation set :
"IP Strategy and Innovation
IP Operations and Management
IP Licensing
Brokerage and M&A
IP Risk Management
IP Valuation
IP Research Services
Benchmarking
IP Centralisation
IP Governance
IP Litigation Management
IP Optimisation"
When you click on "IP Optimisation" it takes you to that page, and the menu becomes expanded like so:
"IP Strategy and Innovation
IP Operations and Management
IP Licensing
Brokerage and M&A
IP Risk Management
IP Valuation
IP Research Services
Benchmarking
IP Centralisation
IP Governance
IP Litigation Management
IP Optimisation (current page)
-- Chief IP Officer
--IP Commercialisation
--IP M&A and Brokerage
--Patent filings and formalities
--Transactions"
Currently when you go to any of the children of one of these pages, it only shows that family and does not show any of the parent links.
I would like it to where if you went to any of the children links your navigation is as follows:
"IP Strategy and Innovation
IP Operations and Management
IP Licensing
Brokerage and M&A
IP Risk Management
IP Valuation
IP Research Services
Benchmarking
IP Centralisation
IP Governance
IP Litigation Management
IP Optimisation
-- Chief IP Officer (current page)
--IP Commercialisation
--IP M&A and Brokerage
--Patent filings and formalities
--Transactions"
Problem is, when you do visit the children pages, your navigation turns to this:
"Chief IP Officer (current page)
IP Commercialisation
IP M&A and Brokerage
Patent filings and formalities
Transactions"

bengtan commentedHi,
I think you're after regular Drupal menu behaviour, not anything submenutree specific.
Each menu that you create comes with it's own block. I think that's the one you want to display.
Create your menus (for example "Main Menu"), and then go to .../admin/build/block/list, find your menu block (ie. a block titled "Main Menu") and enable it.
Try that and see how you go.

anthonybruno commentedActually, this makes alot of sense. Like I said, new to Drupal. Loving it so far, besides this issue. I just simply had all of my navigation in the Primary Links section and didnt think to split it up to smaller menus that all sat in the same block.
Thanks for this, I really appreciate it.

bengtan commentedSo, I can mark this as resolved? If I don't hear anything further, I'll assume so.
