Closest to Flash UI but without flash

Hi all,

Any modules/projects that will alike flash like 'motion', that will allow us to escalate theme deployment without using flash?

Sliding menus, make assets appear, dissapear, etc.. what maybe ajax kit (drupal aware for 5.x) will allow us or do you suggest to consider? (or do we need to move over to 6.x? )

Yep, that's right.
Jquery is built in to Drupal, and can do dozens of smooth things like you've seen on Web2.0 sites.
Even better, http://drupal.org/project/jquery_interface adds even more advanced tricks.

You will still need to learn the code however, so if you haven't heard of jquery before, you've got an adventure ahead.
