I would like to enable the fancy Fasttoggle system on other links, especially on the Favorite nodes module.

Any ideas if and how this could be done?

This is somewhat documented in the code comments. Please take a look at the fasttoggle() function and read through the rest of the code. It's sufficiently commented and not a lot of code.

Thanks Konstantin. I finally took the lazy path and used the Flag module instead. It's actually much much better than Favorite nodes in all ways, and it has the AJAX built in.
