I have a problem with my update status module with drpal 6.4, and everytime I try to enable/disable the module, I get this error:

Can somebody tell me what can cause this kind of error? and how to fix it..

entering 'max_allowed_packet' into the d.o search box retrieved a number of hits-- perhaps one of them might be helpful.
