Show children of a parent from all authors instead of just same?

Issue Summary

I have a "topic" content type (parent), and a "submission" content type (child) and the relation made between the two using node family.

I need to show multiple children under the parent from various authors, regardless of the parent author.

Is there any way to make this happen using nodefamily, other modules or a combo of the two?
