It wouldn't be that useful for the majority of your sites users.
That being said it does look like it has nice functionality.
Unfortunately I'm currently not maintaining any sites that use this module so I'm not sure when I'll get around to updating it.
Also, the FB Connect module seems to be only for connecting local user accounts with FB accounts. It doesn't seem to allow you to let users log in solely with a FB account and be treated as an authenticated user.

It'll be interesting to see if we can implement any of the fbml stuff without requiring template changes.

timmillwoodI hope to use this module on http://blog.to.it/ (when it launches asap) but would be nice to see facebook connect.

that1guy commentedWell it's launched, I wonder what work can be done to implement the two. http://drupal.org/node/343029

timmillwoodI don't it will be too complex, I might start to have a look but I don't want to step on the toes of "Facebook - Auth"

buddaWhat's the difference between this and facebook connect system?
halkeye commentedI'm going to second this notion. What benifits are gained by switching to this system over the current working one?

PGiro commentedSame kind of question : for a new D6 site, what are the benefits of using this rather than http://drupal.org/project/fbconnect ?
halkeye commentedIf theirs work, there is probably no benefit to using this one over that one.
This module was created before the fbconnect system existed, and I never could could find out why its better.

PGiro commentedAlright, thanks for the response; I'm just getting started on fb_api...

heliod commentedWell, for one, FB Connect does not support Drupal 5 sites. Only this module does.
