On the project page, this module is called "Drupal Administration Menu" but in the .info file it's called "Administration Menu." Please pick one or the other -- it's confusing that it has two names, and our book editors are going to think it's a mistake. :P
I would prefer "Administration Menu" throughout, since it's a Drupal module, so it's obviously about Drupal, and since the project path is "admin_menu", not "drupal_admin_menu". However, I notice that there are a lot of "DAM" abbreviations in the issue queue, so this may prove problematic.

sunOww... this feels like a kick in the a... ;) "Drupal Administration Menu" indeed was chosen to suggest that it was/is administration menu for Drupal, back in the times when I thought the world was flat.
Based on this name, people started to funnily call it DAM, not just because a possible ambiguousness in the term itself (+N), but also because it is faster/shorter to type than admin_menu, and most people are often referring to regular admin pages/areas/menus with the term "admin menu". (The latter probably being the most important point in this list.)
So, while I would agree that "Administration Menu" would be a more appropriate and consistent name today, there are reasonable arguments to not call it that way.
I'm a bit stuck now. :/

sunDear Angie,
I am writing to you, because I got lost in this issue. I feel sad and hopeless since this issue exists. Day after day, I am starring at my projects' queue - and this issue makes me feel stranded, like a total looser, who can't even get a module's name right. I was hoping the coding-style and usability would offset against the badly chosen name, but that was obviously a miserable failure. I was even chasing Drupal HEAD in the hope of accommodating core maintainers, especially the one from Montréal, but all of that turned out to be wrong. I am lost. What else can I do to overcome this weakness?
Dear Angela, please help.
Yours,
Daniel
