UK Google Maps extension project (D6)

Hi all,
I'm looking to integrate google maps onto a D6 project so this is twofold
Development of the gmap module for D6
development of project extension that allows users to do a "nearest user to postcode" search; basically if a search is made on a postcode it returns a list of the nearest registered users
Budget unknown - please advise of quotes and we can see if its feasible for the website

THings are progressing much faster than anticipated!
I've installed the gmap and location modules and it now does 95% of what I require
The remaining 5% is to:
set up a postcode search returning a list of nearby users
set this up so its on the front page
Hmm.
Proximity searching in the uk is probably more than 5%. I think that depends on what is currently available in the UK vis a vis GMaps. This was "hard" if I recall correctly, not so long ago.
