theREDpulse.com - Gathering EMS content from the web

jacobw - September 28, 2008 - 19:40

Finally (almost) finished my website for emergency medical professionals. I recently reworked the entire site as the other was overly complicated.

The goals are:

* show articles that EMS workers find interesting

* provide tutorials for those still in school

* have videos

* provide forums

* have all content easy to find and use.

There is some work to be done, but the site is up and running. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks for visiting.

lol. great site!
i was looking for the rss feed to subscribe. that woman with the flintstone foot and the poison mushroom is too funny, but i didnt believe the kitten and bloody nutsacks for a minute! i have a cat and a kitten couldnt do that kind of damage so quickly the man would have moved and scream before that much damage could have been done. what api are you using? yahoo?

thanks

the rss feeds are broken. i think its a cck/views thing, but when i updated on a test site, my custom templates disappeared. i want to update, but i don't want to loose content. :(

I've fixed the rss feeds! I turned out to be an alpha stage module.

Looks great. Details?

The site looks great. Well organized. Can you give us some details on construction of the home page and what modules you used?

sure thing

some of the main Modules:

cck
contemplate
imagecache
pathauto

The entire site (including the frontpage) is created using collapsing blocks. This gives a flexible and easy to edit template. I can change the overall look of a page or the entire site quickly just by enabling/disabling blocks.
