Does it take some custom coding to make the contact forms work? I can go to administer, site building, contact form, and add stuff there, but I am unable to make it live on my site. I have ended up just having to make a "page" that I call the contact page, but there is not a way for people to enter their information and click send or whatever to have it email me their message

Enable contact core module and set permission
Hi FlatFeeKing,
Have you enable the "Contact" core module? If not mistaken, it has to be enabled to work well with Contact Form module.
Next, you have to go to Administrator -> User management -> Access control, and set the "access site-wide contact form" permission to the role that you like.
You can then go to same Contact Form configuration page and add category and setting.
While I'm still recalling lastime how I set up the contact page, no harm that you try out first, it might works.
If you can successfully set up the contact page, it'll actually look alike to Drupal Contact page.
Wish you all the best, I'll continue strike my best to help you out.
Best regards,

Change the contact page
Hi,
I found out that there's a included page call contact page, e.g. www.example.com/contact
So now you can go to THIS contact page and edit it. You can set like "Contact us" for the title, and assign it's Parent item, like "Primary Links".
You check out and see.
Best regards,
kailoon
Ugly text sent as content of core contact - how to fix
How do I control the formatting of the email that is sent from the contact module (Drupal 6.6, core contact sitewide module). The emails we receive are text - with visible markup tags
,  , etc... and linefeeds missing.
Thankyou
