Description

I need the following:

1.) Everyone can have his OWN shop, with its OWN products.
2.) It should NOT be paid commission.
3.) Each order goes to the PayPal account of the shop-owner!!
4.) How can be removed the commission ?
5.) How the shop-owner get its own attributes and shipping-details?

What can I do?

This sounds, unfortunately, outside of the scope of Ubercart Marketplace. Perhaps multiple Drupal sites each with their own installation of Ubercart is what you are looking for. However, some of the items you mention are possible with Marketplace (such as removal of commission by setting a value of 1 and creating own products). Custom development would be needed if each owner is to have their own storefront and payment and shipping methods.

I'm sad to learn that Ubercart MarketPlace can't manage multiple shop-owners...
I had a webservice project based on this specific point... and I believed that this sentence :
"People have requested features such as multiple seller management" mentionned on this
page : http://www.ubercart.org/forum/development/5344/ubercart_marketplace_deve...
should be taken as "People have requested features such as multiple shops management".
Unfortunately not...

But, can we consider this developpement as difficult ?
Should it be possible, with specific role like "shop-owner" to developp this feature ?
Each one its own shop & peoducts, its own prices, its own shippment methods...

Do you think, Turgrid, that this feature could be available in the upcoming and hoped 6.x version of MarketPlace !?

I still think the original poster's feature, if I understand it correctly, falls slightly outside the scope of the Marketplace module(s). This module allows multiple sellers to create and manage their own products and orders within the shop. Only the admin can manage the store details (such as shipping, payment, etc.).

Please explain more what you are looking for. I do not think "multiple sellers" and "multiple shops" are synonymous. Are you thinking (1) having multiple installs of Drupal (i.e. separate databases) or (2) different storefronts sharing a common database and install where users can only purchase items from one shop at a time and that shop owner can control payment settings, etc.

Unless a contribution is made to either the code or through sponsorship, I do not think I will have time to ever create either option (the first of which is way outside Marketplace) unfortunately.

Hi Turgrid,

First of all, I'd like to particularely thank you for having answered us !

You've well understood what I'm looking for in the (2) : users might be abble to buy goods from multiple shop owners, sharing a common database, and maintaining their own shop (goods, price, etc.). BUT : users should also be abble to pay in one time the price of their own cart, the payment being splited between all the shop owners from whom the products composing the cart have been bought ;-) !

This remains for shop owners to be abble to do the following :
1) create its own shop on the global site, with back office options like setting the paypal personnal account, etc...
2) create their own products pages linked to the shop
3) receive its splited part of a user cart payment to be aware of a sell
4) manage their sells (as ubercart marketplace can do for the global site...)

I know that those functionnalities aren't yet in Ubercart MarketPlace.

What I propose to you is to translate Ubercart MarketPlace in french, if you accept to developp those new fucntionnalities ?
I can eventually propose you money if you prefer...

In the case you wouldn't or couldn't developp them, does your own 2nd explaination (without my "BUT") is already working with the actual version of UCMP ? Do you know websites actually using UCMP ?

Many, many thanks Turgrid...

I think if you change the mindset that you have towards your idea of multiple shop owners, you will find that the current Ubercart Marketplace is a near perfect fit.

I do not use the terminology of shop, I use seller. A seller (or shop) could create pages of their products using the Views module. They can add/edit their own products already. Using modules, such as Advanced Profile, you could have a user (seller) page become a shop "homepage." Here you can have the views. Payment and orders are split up between sellers with Marketplace already. Sellers can manage their own orders, track their own sales, etc. When a user has a role with the "act as seller" permission, settings are added to their account edit page such as paypal address.

Sites using marketplace: rifftrax.com for iRiffs., tazetta.com

I guess, I fail to see what features you are actually looking for. I suppose Marketplace is not a one-click-install solution, some custom work and backup modules will be required, but everything is there.

Title:multi-owner-shop-solution?» multi shop owners solution ?

What you explain in your second paragraph is exactly what I started to do on yesterday : "if UCMP can't be a keygo solution, you can use it as the central module of what you want, and by adding it some other modules, the system could work !" I just need to move and get a bit of creativity... and imagination.

So by writting those few words in your precedent answer, you've done for me the most difficult I think... Views, AdvancedProfiles, UCMP, and good connections between them are just what I need...
I do not know, how I could thank you as I do not have any business already working... But, definitively, you can be sure that if I go right with my idea and can get a couple of bucks, I'll think about you.

I actually, just need the UCMP module to be available with 6.x drupal core version. I hope it will be available soon ;-)
