My client wishes to populate the site with news articles from many RSS sources. She has 6-7 different vocabularies with 5-6 terms in each.

I currently have setup: feedAPI, autoTagger, taxonomy menu

At the moment, there are about 100 articles, and the autotagger was able to assign about 60% of these to terms. I am looking for a manual way to assign the unassigned 40%, using a similar method to that available with the news aggregator where you can use a drop down menu or check box for categories.

All vocabularies have "free-tagging" selected, which allows for the term to be entered (using the text of the term or terms), but my client would like to have check boxes instead.

I have already tried the tagtool module, and this does seem to work for 1 of the vocabularies, but I think I have something wrong in that the other vocabularies are not available to the tagtool.

Are there any suggestions on modules or techniques to achieve the manual assigning of terms?

I hope I described this well, but please reply if more clarification is needed.

Cheers,

I am able to provide this functionality using the Taxonomy Super Select module

Any similar modules for Drupal 6.x?
I've tried FeedAPI Inhirit, but it doesn't work for me as described here: #313433: Is there a way to assign a default vocabulary term to feed items... #1
