I've installed this module after having a tonne of content on the site...I *think* this causes issues.
I seen a note that once you install this, anon users (and auth users I think) lose access to all content. I would have thought it would be the other way by default (no access restricted) as the reason for using this module is to restrict some (a small amount) content as if you wanted to restrict access to most content (per content-type) you could use the default access control settings.
So...by changing the access privileges per content-type (at /admin/user/nodeaccess) to allow auth & anon users to view a content type, that should change all existing nodes of that type to allow view access???? Is that statement correct?
If it is, it isn't working for me.
I've tried changing the permissions to see if that bulk changes the permissions but that doesn't seem to work.
This module seems like a lot of work (please don't take offense) but I just wanted to restrict anon access to not be able to view two pages (out of thousands of nodes on my site) and it's now restricted anon access to all pages.
Maybe I'm using the wrong module for my needs?
Many thanks for your guidance.
