The way CCK displays content (in the View tab) is very plain: 1 label and its field per row, and it seems that cannot be changed.

I have been able to use field groups to put a frame around fields but I will have many fields, and so this will mean a long list with a lot of white space.

I would like to have a few label/fields per line.

I tried the module Content Templates but it seems buggy (recursion error has existed for months) and the author says he is not into maintaining it.

Does anyone have any suggestions to change the layout of displaying content?
