Description

I run a karting community website which organises racing events regularly. My website is at http://www.my-kart.org/

I've been trying to upgrade from 4.5.2 to 4.6.3 for many attempts and months now. I am not able to make the event upgrade work. The event block in the main page view does not show all the fields relating to the event entry.

In version 4.5, the event entry would include the following info (amongst others):

  • title
  • location
  • date & time
  • body text

When I upgraded, I lost all except for the title and location data in both the block display as well as the edit form. In addition this, the event does not appear on the calendar view or upcoming events list.

I think I've done everything right (on staging site):

  1. ran cron.php
  2. disabled all the modules using 4.5
  3. installed 4.6.3 into a separate directory
  4. changed the settings.php file to point to the same mySQL database as the one used by 4.5
  5. logged on using my admin id
  6. ran the upgrade.php script
  7. followed the instruction to upgrade from 4.5.0
  8. everything went fine
  9. did the necessary admin in 4.6.3
  10. installed flexinode and updated the database using the flexinode sql; then activated flexinode module in 4.6.3
  11. installed event module and activated in 4.6.3
  12. ran the event_update.php - everything went ok
  13. updated the sql database
  14. and then nothing.... the events do not display!

This is a critical problem for me as I use the event module heavily for our kart events. Would appreciate any help quickly. At the moment I am not upgrading beyond my 4.5.2.

OP likely doesn't still need support after nearly 2 years.

I set it to won't fix.. You don't need to do anything more. I was just cleaning up old issues.
