Would be great if users could pick individual events they want to attend and export them as iCals.

Fantastic idea! If the event module could do this it could then be used in newsletters which are sent out. Imagine getting an email, seeing something of interst and just clicking on a link to add it to your calendar!

Making things easier for the end user means they are gaining more value from your site which means you are better serving your users.

James has this done already, just needs to provide a patch. Also provides vCal items as enclosures. Setting to be "owned" by me for now.

yup. here's a 4.6 patch (not sure if it still applies cleanly... but should be pretty close).

The patch still applies, I cant test it for lack of an ical application...

hey, that's pre-alpha software. ;)

Anyway, I applied it. How do I set up sunbird to be opened when I click on the ical thing in firebird?

Did this get applied to 4.6? I don't see it...

Also, I'm opening this again and keeping it assigned to walkah so he can do the RSS feed of events with vCal as enclosures.

This version of event.module is no longer supported. Please update your site. If the issue is still valid, don't hesitate to re-open it against a more recent version.
