Would be great if users could pick individual events they want to attend and export them as iCals.

nikle commentedFantastic idea! If the event module could do this it could then be used in newsletters which are sent out. Imagine getting an email, seeing something of interst and just clicking on a link to add it to your calendar!
Making things easier for the end user means they are gaining more value from your site which means you are better serving your users.

boris mann commentedJames has this done already, just needs to provide a patch. Also provides vCal items as enclosures. Setting to be "owned" by me for now.

walkah commentedyup. here's a 4.6 patch (not sure if it still applies cleanly... but should be pretty close).

killes@www.drop.org commentedThe patch still applies, I cant test it for lack of an ical application...

walkah commentedeven with sunbird: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/sunbird.html ?
killes@www.drop.org commentedhey, that's pre-alpha software. ;)
Anyway, I applied it. How do I set up sunbird to be opened when I click on the ical thing in firebird?

boris mann commentedDid this get applied to 4.6? I don't see it...
Also, I'm opening this again and keeping it assigned to walkah so he can do the RSS feed of events with vCal as enclosures.

killes@www.drop.org commentedThis version of event.module is no longer supported. Please update your site. If the issue is still valid, don't hesitate to re-open it against a more recent version.
