I have some fields with an existing bio node and some core profile fields. What's the best way to integrate APK with them? After I enabled APK, user's view page is replaced with APK's default panel view, while my bio node content on the second tab is still there. I didn't generate APK's uprofile node type. Should I change my node type to "uprofile" (it seems there's some problem with this approach in my first try), or it's easier to replace string "uprofile" in the code to my own node type.

APK doesn't require you to use the included uprofile node type. It's just there as a getting started convenience. You may need to edit the panels page and reset the panes (just open them up and resave them) to get them to recognize the change. Of course, if you don't have the same groups on your node type, you can just delete those panes.

Thanks for the reply. I know the status is "fixed". However I have one more question. I import all the fields from uprofile.inc into my bio content type. But he panel page still shows "Deleted/missing content type content_fieldgroup" in the middle. See below:. I thought once I have all the field groups they should be shown on the panel. Thanks.

Hi michelle, I am trying to figure out how to make panels work so that the user login will work with apk to create an account with a username and password. I want the 'create new account' button in user login to allow the user to create a user profile, not just create an account. Is there a way to do this without having the user create an account and then have to go to the edit tab to create a user profile? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Please don't hijack issues, especially old closed ones that have nothing to do with your question. Also, this has nothing to do with APK. You want to ask for help in the queue of the module you are using for profile nodes as that is what would put it on the registration page.
