I tried this module "album photos" or "photos", I set the permissions to upload (general and module) and to view uploaded images
this is true both in my local installation, and in the demo site
the not visible elements are at least:
- the images themselves
- the comments
- the votes
am I missing some required modules?

it seems very good (I've seen another demonstration, it's exactly what I need)
may be I have some not compatible modules, instead of missing ones?

Can nobody see the photos, not even the administrator? If yes, then it is not an permission issue as admin user should always see everything.
Is it possible to post a link or atleast some screenshots of your site? (You can also send it to my if you don't want to post it here)

Hello, thank you for reply, I couldn't post here in these last days, I will try again with this module on my local installation. In the meantime, I could tell you I have the same situation I find here

in particular, in the gallery list you could see that there actually is an image (a cat I uploaded myself), but when you enter, the image is not visible
you can see for example here, http://drupal.500959.com/node/12, and here, http://drupal.500959.com/node/9, or wherever is supposed to find images...

This is probably an issue with permissions and/or the new privacy features.
When I'm not logged in, I had the same problem, there where no pictures on the site.
After logging in as test user "test" *and* entering the password (password prompt was only displayed when logged in for some reason... I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature... I'll check this in the code), I could see the images.
I had a simliar effect on my site at the beginning... there are two different permissions... being allowed to view content (which also includes albums) and viewing images. If you only have the permission to view content, you see empty albums..

You upload the cover, but can not see?
------ This is because I have it set to only "teaser" can be seen.
Here (admin/content/node-type/photos#edit-photos-cover) can change the settings.

thanks a lot Berdir and eastcn, I'm really sorry, but I'm not able to play with drupal during these days
I will try again as soon as possible, following the advices about configuration that you gave here, because in my opinion this is one of the best gallery tool for drupal, or at least the one the fits my needs best

Please remember to clear the cache here: admin/settings/performance
