Overall Usabiity needs

The module works fairly well, and in my case, provides the basis of user to user control for sharing profile and nodeprofile data. The user interface is too difficult for most users and not practical for deployment without additional documentation or training.

The interaction with handshakes, the inbox, and requests being buried in the My Account page is not workable for users.

There needs to be some form of notification by email or private message since even an adventurous user will not regularly look for requests on their My Account page. Am I missing some setting or is there an easy way to accomplish this?

I've tried to make a view, but can't find a field or argument to use handshake data.
There also isn't a block to show any handshake status information. I may sponsor such features if it's practical.
