Issue Summary

Hello, I just want to say I'm testing it, so I can tell you if I find strange behaviors or possible features. This module could make many things, especially events, a lot easier! Thank you!

I've been bug hunting a lot the last few days, so I'll try to get my changes submitted shortly so that we're all working from the same version. Probably have a new version up and ready around midnight GMT today.

That will be great! I'm gonna try it for the registering system to an event I have in one month, so I will be able to tell what happens in a "production" site... Yes, I know I'm really brave! :D

I would HEAVILY discourage that... there's NO functionality to tell you which submissions are paid for and which aren't right now. The user doesn't KNOW that, but... still they could remove items from their cart and the submissions would still be there... or vice versa. I'm trying to fix that this next week, but... we'll see.

It's not a big event (100-150 people) so I can just check that manually. But I really need to give a system for the signing before Sunday... :( I could also try just using Ubercart and when they buy a ticket then they will have access to a Webform. I have thought to make an specific role that have access to webforms but maybe there is a way to port UC Node access to D6. Any clues?

Anyway I'm interested in trying your module but if you think it's not a good idea yet, I'll try more stable things right now and try yours for the events in 2 months...

if you're willing to manually check it, then fine, but... eh... I wouldn't do it... and I'm writing it. :-) Gimme another 10+days to make it better and I bet I'll have something more usable, but there are still a few things I want to make dead sure are nailed down. Also worth mentioning that UC is not really 100% for D6 yet either, so... it's probably a bad idea all the way around.

#6

Making a whole shop with UC now is not so good idea... but using it for something small is ok. Right now there are just some problems with notifications (or at least that's the only thing I'm having)

I tried the role assignment in UC and is working really good, so I will use it at least for this Event. I will try your module for the next, unfortunately I cannot wait, but it's ok, I think (Hop) it will work... Until now at least what I expected from UC is working.

Anyway, you are allright, it's a bad idea, but I cannot change it... Iassume the Risk :D

I too have a site that could really use this module. It's an online booking system for studying English courses abroad. So, much like an event registration system I need to be able to pair webforms with cart submissions to note accommodation preferences, desired start dates etc. I'm probably not going live for another month or two so I'm going to run with this module and see how it goes. I may even be able to offer some help on the dev side of things.

Great! My site is doing well on testing, besides the notifications, with the Role assignment method.

Hey Eclipse, it seems the module is going better. I would like to ask you what do you think it would be better in my case:

-Right now I'm using Ubercart and Webform separated, when the users buy a Ticket and they gain a role who can submit a Webform. That's working all right but there is a problem, users cannot buy Ticket for other users. I've thought about creating a second kind of Tickets just for Groups so the buyer will have to fill the Webforms of each person.

My question is how could your module work with groups or "gifts" (buying a ticket for someone else). Is your module also able to let users change their form submissions until a date?

Thank you very much

They can't change existing form submissions (that's currently a role provided by webform module I believe, I've not even played with permissions yet). However, they CAN deleted products from their cart, and resubmit a new submission. Removing products from your cart will delete the submission.

There are still a ton of little things to fix here, so... use at your own risk. However you could feasibly submit as many different submissions as you like. So you could purchase a number of submissions for people other than yourself.
