I just created a new sub-folder that was filled with only PNG Files. After running the Cron, it did not recognize the folder. I then added a single JPG file to the folder and ran the Cron again.

After doing that, Fast Gallery added the folder, set the JPG as the thumbnail for the folder, and shows all the PNG files (and the JPG) when viewing the sub-gallery.

are you sorting by Date or File Created? those require EXIF data, which only exists in JPG files.

i posted a new (unofficial) version that seems to handle PNG folders correctly:

#316967: Alternative Version - New Features and Fixed Issues

when sorting by Date or Created is turned on, all files that have no EXIF data (includes all non-JPG files) and JPG files with blank EXIF data are just appended to the end of the album, sorted by path.
