Since the other feature request has not been implemented yet, there is no need to create a duplicate issue. When it will be implemented, it will probably land in both versions.

thanks. for now i'm using them both - one as 'simple image attachments' (imagefield) and one as 'advanced image placement options' using inline with upload...
