Hi
I downloaded and unpacked phplist-6.x-1.0 into my sites/all/modules directory, but it would not show up in my modules list. I then downloaded the 6.x-1.x-dev and can see and enable that fine. (I have no massmailer as per this issue http://drupal.org/node/308368)

Oh please delete this issue, my dear coleague had changed our local DNS to point to a dev version and not the one I was trying to configure...
