GMAP - How to dynamically reorient map by clicking on link?

I can't specify a testing link as it's protected by my company, however, I have a question that I'm needing help with:

I have GMAP all up and working with markers placed where they need be, however on a side bar we've specified regions such as Africa, Central Asia, etc. When one of those links are linked is it possible to reorient the map to center on that location if I specify the lat/long? If so, how would I go about doing this?
