I tried your module. My website also includes the i18n module since it's bilingual, French and English. Say I have private files with a French page. When I try to put equivalent English files into the appropriate translated page, your module flags the English files to private, and move them to the correct folder, BUT unflag the french files and return them to the public folder.

Interesting. I guess putting files back where they originally came from is more important than I supposed.
