Hi there.
I would like to categorise my site using taxonomies. The thing is, i don't know how to go about it.
I have a car website. And what i want to do, is have pages with each car on. On each of these pages is a list of similar cars. When a user clicks on one of these similar cars, i want it to take them to a page where that car is listed.
The thing is is that using the taxonomy module means that it would take you to a listing of cars that also have this as one of its similar cars. (vocab = similar cars).
How do i get around this please?
thanks
sylvia

You could set up your vocab
You could set up your vocab and terms (and children of terms) like this:
Cars
--Make
---Ford
---DeSoto
---Subaru
--Model
---Hatchback
---Sedan
---Streetrod
--Year
---1955-1975
---1976-1986
---1986-1996
Set your taxonomy to single hierarchy, and click on as many terms as you need per entry. This will lay the foundation for your site organization, if I understand your question correctly.
Then you can use modules such as similar_by_terms to do what you want to do as far as finding similar cars according to make, year, model, etc.
