In lack of any feedback at all, this is looking like it's abandoned.

I already have contributor status.
Looking for official recognition of the process being followed and I'll take responsibility for it.
Probably a bit of documentation to begin with, hopefully a D6 port if things haven't changed too badly in the D6 content management form.

Moshe is still active in the community, so perhaps he missed the other issue.

I sent him a link to both issues, and see what he says.
