Have you configured the module by going to Administer -> Settings -> Profile Category Weight?

I think that this is not an issue.

Sorry for the delay but it indeed does not work - I have configured the settings in Administer > Settings > Profile Category Weight and its still showing up in alphabetical order.

Are there any factors that could be causing this, such as a conflict with other modules/themes?

Cheers!

Hi,
The thing is, the category weights work during the registration process. But once the User profile page is viewed, the Categories are still shown in alphabetical order - I assumed that Category weights would be able to affect the profile pages as well.
So I have just opted for the disingenuous solution of changing my category names so that they are alphabetical.
Sorry about that and cheers!

yes, that's a known issue, this module only changes the user registration form order of the categories. It does not work with the user edit page. There's another issue with a discussion #304784: Weight for the Local Tasks about this but it's not straightforward to do it in a fault-proof way, at least not one that I can think of at the moment. But the module description states it's for the registration form.
