Fine grain cache control - cache everything except certain blocks

I have some sites that have dynamic block views. I'd like to run with caching enabled for everything except those blocks, but I don't see a way to do that. I looked at the cache exclude module, but that only works for entire pages.

Anyone have any suggestions?
