Here will be a topic for all the gamers out there looking for a game site powered by the all-mighty Drupal. Here you can post your gaming website that is powered by Drupal or will be powered by Drupal in the future. This thread will also be good for all the game website owners that would like to move to Drupal to see all what it can do for gamers ;)
I'll start the posting...
A website about game wallpapers, game cheats, game reviews, and a fully active forum ( not powered by Drupal ). We have over 2500 wallpapers and keep growing, we have just started at the end of May and have numerous visitors. We started our website on Drupal, so we will get to evolve on it as well. Hope this will encourage you to use Drupal for all you wallpaper fans. I have no custom mod and neither any custom template but I am looking for some, so if people would like to help please do not hesitate to do so. Thanks!
Now it's your turn...

Looking for Drupal Gaming Websites
I've been struggling a little building a fairly complex relational model in Drupal
I figure there must be a tonne of people trying to achieve a similar thing
I'd really like to start a Drupal Game Sites Alliance - The idea being we could collaboratively build a "GameDB" installation profile
(a subject for another thread I think)
Here's my Drupal Gaming Website - Not much ATM but the test site is really starting to come together

I was originally building with phpbbs, which is excellent for forums, but trying to make site wide themes work was problematic. I like Drupal's Module structure more, because it breaks things down into digestable portions.
My site is very raw, not even half built. Just beginning, really. I have not even published most stuff and delete and rewrite and test a whole lot...
I think what you may want to do may require something like cURL (http://us3.php.net/curl) although I am sure there are other ways to approach this. But cURL will allow you to log into the DB with a front end of HTML to set yourself up and use the same login to get XML (or other format data) back in the background without needing alternate login information. It could even be set up where the main server notifies the satellites when an addition is made to the DB and the satellites cache and mirror that main DB. Could be done. Sounds like two modules. One server side, one client site side...
I might even be willing to take a stab at that one. The Caveat is Time, which few of us have, but a bare bones approach, given Drupal's Extensibilty, might carry the day.

Game site
I run serveral gaming sites in Drupal.
I am a very passionate gamer, so I have several sites devoted to games that I run on Drupal.
My current most popular gaming site is http://www.gogoflashgames.com. As the name says it has Flash games. I try to add new games when I can, but currently don't have any automated system setup for adding games. I do have a pretty nice content type setup with all the fields I need to add a game pretty quickly as long as I have the flash game file and a screenshot.
I have built a couple of gaming community based sites in Drupal also. They both served their purpose as a hub for gaming friends for some of clans and guilds I have been associated with. I currently run them both as more of a general gaming community site since the clans/guilds have basically fizzled at this point. They are:
http://www.midnightassassins.net - An FPS clan site I made for Counter-Strike. Now more focusing on just FPS gaming in general.
http://www.thehammerofresistance.com - An MMO guild site I made for Star Wars Galaxies and World of Warcraft.

Wa la
Well not much to look at yet, still running the Garland (charcoal) theme. But the site is basically a community hub for pen & paper gamers and computer & console gamers. Just have OG and Advanced Forums running on it at the moment while I collect alpha and beta testers but I am currently working on the branding and graphic design of the site while they get comfy with the default tools.

While still under heavy
While still under heavy development (been focusing on a non person project primarily), this is a game site with roughly 2-3 hours of work put into it (theme, modules, ect). None the less, the site is slowly paving the way to re-establish a foundation for a gaming community originally founded in '96. In the near future I'll be doing an aesthetic/visual pass on the entire site to improve on user experience. Until then however, I'll be working on adding some other much desired functionality.

This is real nice
We haven't build a game website in Drupal yet but this article is nice to motivate it to start a game site in Drupal. At least, we are not the only one looking into this possibility.
Thank a lot folks.

I've been trying a few
I've been trying a few methods on GetLives.com to create a nicely organized game reviews site, but I hit a few hurdles with the platforms taxonomy. I think perhaps taxonomy is not what I should be using, and an extra CCK field might be just what I need. Anyway, check the site, but keep in mind it's far from done.

good thread. Not a lot out
good thread. Not a lot out there on using Drupal for a gaming site, but in my opinion, it is the best CMS to do it on, as far as the big 3 go (WP, Joomla, and Drupal).
http://www.gamizon.com
I've pretty much put development on hold until I can figure out a way to get some authors and moderators. It's currently just me running it, and it's too big for me to manage on my own. Most everything is functional, it just needs some style tweaking. I just don't want to dump any more time into it when it's literally impossible for one man to keep up on everything in the gaming industry. In other words, I made the site too big for my own good lol.
That said, Drupal is perfect for a real game site. I think a small team of 4-5 would be ideal to use it to its full potential, though.
