I'm getting this 1x/hour emailed from my cron:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function bitcache_use_repository() in [...]/modules/fileframework/file.inc on line 175.

I started with alpha2 and received similar errors.

You should install the alpha2 version of the bitcache module. This bitcache version was enhanced with the configurable repositories and the fileframework takes advantage of that.
