hello,

i like the idea behind the feature request "permissions by role". but i think it would be better if a user can only download the file if he has a particular permission. something like "access private files".

i want to have the ability to upload public and private files. the public files should be accessible for all users who have the "view uploaded files" permission. private files should only be accessible for users who have the new "access private files" permission.

I think that this involves a slight code complexity, but ports to a considerable extra flexibility.
Is this option possible in future versions?
