How to do mass upload of files

Hi,
I am creating a data entry form with the facility to upload multiple files. With the current module I can only upload one. Is there any contributed modules out there that allows for multiple or mass uploads? Either one is ok.
I had a look at the forums and after intensive googling couldn't find anything that does it. Currently I can only upload 1 file per form.

What type of files ? If these are images the module 'acidfree' for images comes inbuilt with a mass file importer/uploader.
