Thanks for the warning.

Was wondering were their cookie was coming from.

Is there a way to remove it from module?

Module removed from site until link is gone.

Thanks for the info.,

I don't think you can do much about this without disabling Addthis. Send them some feedback about the issue if you feel like this is a problem. There are plenty of other ways to share even without using their service and I would think they are open to feedback.

I tried latest version 6.x-2.5 released last week

Then removed module after finding other issues related to this version along with 3 cookies instead of 1 now.... clearspring.com, addthis.com, and statcounter.com.

Not going to clearspring.com to voice my opinion, found enough information about them with a simple google search.

I simply did some work for a change instead of just popping in another module. I created a block with icons/links to each bookmark site, created a button to show/hide block embedded in page.

I recommend doing just that if you are worried about tracking done by addthis.com. Their service is very convenient, but there are plenty of ways to do the same thing. If they don't play nice a lot of their users will switch to some other service or do the sharing by themselves in a heartbeat.

also seems to be causing a strange white bar at the top of the page -_-
